This Home, located in
the
Nantucket-on-the-Severn
Community was a great
challenge. The clients
desire to build an
expansive home with an
indoor pool on the
waterside coupled with
very tight site constraints
forced the architect to
reinvent the way a
traditional home is
designed.
It makes the most of the
views from a maximum
number of rooms and
created some cozy
interior and exterior
spaces.
The character is very
unique, yet at home with
the
chesapeake-nantucket
vernacular. The indoor
pool flows into the lanai
to create a dramatic
year-round "outdoor"
space.
